My name is Erwin van der Molen. I am a freelance Dutch–English translator and sworn translator registered with the Wbtv (the Dutch national register of sworn translators and interpreters), based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Background and experience

I have been working as an independent translator since 2011, specialising in legal, notarial, medical and technical translation. In addition to my translation work, I am a teacher of English with over 26 years of classroom experience — a background that sharpens my ear for language and my eye for nuance.

My clients include law firms, civil-law notaries' offices, courts and the Public Prosecution Service. I have extensive experience with notarial deeds (including deeds of sale, mortgage deeds and powers of attorney), annual reports, criminal law documents and a wide range of business texts.

Sworn translator (Wbtv)

As a sworn translator registered with the Wbtv, I am authorised to provide official certified translations that are legally valid before courts, government bodies and international institutions. I personally sign and certify each sworn document.
